How to Use:

This medication comes in pill form; usually two pills every four hours, as needed, but not exceeding six per day. Remember to follow the directions on the prescription exactly. Never take more or less of this medication or take it more often than prescribed to avoid serious side effects.

Side Effects:

Side effects while on this medication are uncommon however you may experience: bleeding or crusting sores on lips; chest pain; fever with or without chills; hive-like swellings (large) on eyelids, face, lips, and/or tongue; muscle cramps or pain; red, thickened, or scaly skin; shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing; skin rash, itching, or hives; sores, ulcers, or white spots in mouth (painful); sore throat; confusion (mild); mental depression; unusual excitement (mild). Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of these side effect, especially if you experience more than one at the same time. If in the very rare even you experience an allergic reaction to this medication seek emergency medical treatment. While side effects are uncommon if you experience any side effect that has not been mentioned, contact your local pharmacist or healthcare provider.

Precautions:

When taking this medication there is the possibility of dependency. The signs that you are becoming dependent including: the medication stops working as well as it did when first started taking it; if you begin having headaches more often than you did when first started having this medication, or if you get a headache within one day of missing a dose, or everyday, or a headache that lasts several days. It is important not to increase your dose, and continuing this medication can increase your headaches. Consult your doctor about how to relieve your headaches. Never share any prescription medication with others.

Overdose:

In the event that an overdose is suspected contact your local emergency room or poison control center immediately. An overdose of this medication or taking it with alcohol or CNS depressants can result in loss of consciousness or death.

Notes:

Never share any prescription medication with others. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication will affect you, because of the possibility of dizziness or drowsiness.

Missed Dose:

In the event that you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember before it is close to time to take your next dose, then simply skip it and resume taking as scheduled. It is important never to “double-up” on this medication

Storage:

This medication needs to be stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight and moisture. The best temperature should be around 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
