USES:

This medication is the first and only FDA approved pill to treat male pattern hair loss on the top of the head and mid-scalp area in me.

HOW TO USE:

This medication comes in tablet form and should be taken once daily or as directed by your doctor. This drug may be taken with or without meals, depending on personal preference. This medication usually must be taken regularly for 3 months for the benefits to be noticeable. It is important to remember that once treatment is stopped, any gain in hair quantity will be lost. If this medication is crushed prior to administration, it must not be handled by women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant.

SIDE EFFECTS:

This medication has some rare side effects that are possible while taking this medication including impotence, decreased sex drive or decrease in amount of ejaculate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS:

Before using this drug, tell your doctor about your entire medical history, especially of: liver disease, prostate cancer, urinary tract disease, and drug allergies. This medication should not be used in women or children. The drug can be absorbed through the skin. Woman who are pregnant or plan to become pregnant should not handle this medication if the film coating of the tablet has been broken or the tablet crushed, because any contact with by a developing male fetus could result in abnormalities of the external genitalia. This medication is indicated for men only, and must not be used by women, especially women who are pregnant or nursing. It is not know what affects this medication has on breast milk.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

It is very important to tell your doctor of all over-the-counter and prescription medication you may use. Never start or stop any medicine without first seeking your doctor’s approval.

OVERDOSE:

Contact your local emergency room or poison control center if an overdose is suspected.

NOTES:

Never let anyone else take any of your prescription medication.

MISSED DOSE:

In the event that you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember before it is close to time to take your next dose, then simply skip it and resume taking as scheduled. It is important never to “double-up” on this medication.

STORAGE:

This medication should be stored at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture, and out of the reach of children. It is not recommended to store this medication in the bathroom.
